Love Mercy Hope Football Launch!

September has been an exciting month for Love Mercy Hope, marking the start of our weekly football games. It’s been a good way to bring our local community together, blend a bit of friendly competition with fundraising, and strengthen the bonds that make our charity special.

This month, we were thrilled to host two charity matches that really kicked things off. First, we faced off against DG Cars in a game that was both competitive and fun. The match ended as a draw, with both teams taking the bragging rights. The second match saw us up against Wollaton Mosque FC. Our second charity game saw LMH comeback from a 4-1 losing position, to win 5-4! Both games were not only great fun but also successful in raising a combined total of around £750. A huge thank you to both teams for their support and competition.

But the action didn’t stop there. We also played two internal games among ourselves. These matches were all about building a stronger sense of brotherhood within our own ranks. It was a brilliant way to bond, enjoy some friendly competition, and celebrate our shared passion for the game.

The introduction of these weekly football games has been more than just about fundraising; it’s been about creating opportunities for connection, including new potential volunteers and also strengthening our own brotherhood. Here’s to many more goals scored and more football!
